Promise Kept is an urban fantasy set in what is left of a post apocalyptic America. The main character is Lila Howell, a historian and archivist. She meets her match in Susanne Howell, an old woman with information that the government wants. The New Dawn government is willing to go far in order to get this information, including threats and force. In the midst of this conflict, Lila also finds love and something like salvation in Susanne Newton’s nephew, Kris.
